Speaking as someone who hates cleaning the bathroom after a shave, I completely understand why guys would want to find the best vacuum beard trimmer.

A good beard trimmer is an essential tool for guys with facial hair, whether you like to maintain a little stubble or prefer to grow one of those luscious, long beards that attract attention.

Cut beard hair in bathroom sink
Cleaning your cut hairs from the bathroom sink? Gross. NOT cleaning it, and then having to fish it out of the clogged drain pipe in a few weeks? Super, super gross.

But while a good cordless trimmer can make beard maintenance much easier, removing body hair from the sink, drain and floor is as annoying as it is time-consuming.

That’s where a good vacuum trimmer comes in.

Unlike a standard electric beard trimmer, vacuum trimmers immediately suck up the vast majority of cut hair as you trim, leaving fewer stray hairs for you to clean up later.

To help you find the best trimmer to give you a close shave and a good suck (yeah, I heard it – leaving it in!), in this post I’ve rounded up some of the best vacuum trimmers and hair clippers on the market today.

Breaking Down the Best Beard Trimmers with Vacuums

Overall Best Vacuum Beard Trimmer ↓

Remington MB6850 Vacuum Stubble and Beard Trimmer

Remington MB6850 Vacuum Stubble and Beard Trimmer
User Reviews:

4.2 Stars | 3,250 Reviews

Beard Length Adjustability:
  • No. of Length Settings: 13
  • Trimming Range: 1/6″ to 3/4″ (2 to 18 mm)
  • No. of Adjustable Combs: 1
Other Features:
  • Stainless steel blades
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • 90 minutes runtime
  • Can be used both corded and cordless
  • Includes precision trimmer
Why We Like It:

Remington’s MB6850 model previously ranked second on our list, behind the now-discontinued Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300, which sadly went to trim that big bushy beard in the sky.

While we miss the 7300, the MB6850 tops the other best products on the vacuum clipper market, making it the new clear choice for number one.

In addition to an impressive vacuum feature that captures 95% of shaved hairs,
it’s most important features are its stainless steel trimmer blades, which are sharper and more efficient than the ceramic blades used by some of the models below, and can be combined with the adjustable guide comb to offer 13 different lengths.

It’s also the only model on this list to come with multiple trimmer attchments, making it the best option if you favor a precise shave. In addition to the primary blade, it comes with a second, smaller trimmer head that makes it easier to shave clean lines and do other precise trimming work.

Plus it’s got a rechargeable battery that offers 90 minutes of cordless use on a full charge, but can also be used while plugged in, giving it (a lot) more versatility than a standard corded trimmer.

Why Some Might Not:

The 13 different length settings provide a decent amount of range, but the closest setting on this one still leaves 1/6″ of hair.

That makes it a good stubble trimmer, but not the best option if you’re looking for a really close, clean cut.

On a similar note, some of the other models below come with more guide combs. Some guys actually consider this a bonus because fussing with a lot of different trimmer attachments can be a hassle, but others like being able to swap between a shorter and longer guard.

Best Vacuum Hair Clipper ↓

Remington HKVAC2000A

Remington Vacuum Hair Clipper HKVAC2000A
User Reviews:

4.4 Stars | 6,434 Reviews

Beard Length Adjustability:
  • No. of Length Settings: 9
  • Trimming Range: 1/8″ to 1″ (3.1 to 25.4 mm)
  • No. of Adjustable Combs: 8
Other Features:
  • Stainless steel blades
  • Comes with scissors, comb and clips for haircutting
Why We Like It:

If you’re looking for a vacuum trimmer that can also be used as a hair trimmer for at-home haircuts, the Remington HKVAC2000 is your best bet.

Like the MB6850 above, it’s got sharp stainless steel blades and a strong vacuum, both of which are supported by a powerful motor.

But this one has a few features that make it more versatile, and arguably better for both head hair and longer beards.

For one thing, on this one the vacuum compartment is actually larger, so it can handle the longer hair usually found on the top of your head. (And please note that I said usually, not always. I see you, my bald brethern.)

For another, it comes with a full, 18-piece haircutting set that includes eight adjustable comb attachments, barber scissors, a cleaning brush and blade oil.

Why Some Might Not:

This one is corded, which is kind of a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, the fact that it’s plugged in means you’ll never have to worry about having enough power, which is an especially important thing when you’re giving yourself a haircut. (A taper fade is a great look, but half a taper fade? Not so much.)

On the other hand, the trade off for always making sure you have maximum power is that you sacrifice ease of use.

The cord can be a real hassle, especially if you’re trying to maneuver the trimmer around the back of your head, so you have to be comfortable with the tradeoff. If you’re not, the model below might be a better bet.

Best Cheap Vacuum Beard Trimmer ↓

Vacutrim Cordless Mens Beard Trimmer

VacuTrim Beard Trimmer
User Reviews:

4.2 Stars | 2,869 Reviews

Beard Length Adjustability:
  • No. of Length Settings: 20
  • Trimming Range: 1/32″ to 3/4″ (1 to 20 mm)
  • No. of Adjustable Combs: 2
Other Features:
  • Stainless steel blades
  • Lithium ion battery
  • 90 minutes runtime
  • Trim length dial on back
Why We Like It:

Both of the Remington models above come at a fairly reasonable price, but if you’re tight on cash and looking for the best budget beard trimmer with a built-in vacuum cleaner (try saying that five times fast), then the Vacutrim is a great option.

It’s actually got a wider variety of length ranges than the Remington MB6850, and its lowest setting goes down to 1/32″, which is low enough to trim (really) short hair and leave you with clean edges, and both models run on rechargeable batteries that offer 90 minutes of use on a single charge.

The Vacutrim is also cordless, which makes it easier to use than the corded HKVAC2000, and comes with two comb attachments that can handle everything from shorter beards to longer haircuts.

Why Some Might Not:

This is a damn good trimmer and a close runner up to the Remington MB6850, so there’s not much to dislike here.

But it doesn’t have any other blade heads, which is why we ultimately gave the (lame pun alert!) edge (you were warned) to the Remington.

Best Waterproof Beard Trimmer with Vacuum ↓

Favrison Vacuum Professional Cordless Hair Clippers

Favrison Vacuum Professional Cordless Hair Clippers
User Reviews:

4.1 Stars | 92 Reviews

Beard Length Adjustability:
  • No. of Length Settings: 5
  • Trimming Range: 1/32″ to 1/2″ (1 to 12 mm)
  • No. of Adjustable Combs: 2
Other Features:
  • Waterproof
  • Ceramic blades
Why We Like It:

This vacuum model from Favrison is a good trimmer for guys who prefer to do their manscaping under warm water, but have been worried about clogging up the drain with too much hair.

Its waterproof rating is IPX7, which means it could be dunked into water for 30 minutes without sustaining any damage, making it more than safe enough to use in the shower without fear of malfunctioning.

Why Some Might Not:

While the waterproofing is definitely the best thing about this one, the biggest knock (for me at least) is the ceramic blades.

Ceramic blades are generally considered safer than stainless steel, which is why you often see them on the kind of manscaping devices that are meant to be used as a full body trimmer.

But they’re not as sharp, which I find makes them less effective for facial hair trimming, especially if you’re trying to mow through a full beard.

SHPAVVER Vacuum Beard Trimmer

SHPAVVER Vacuum Beard Trimmer
User Reviews:

4.6 Stars | 38 Reviews

Beard Length Adjustability:
  • No. of Length Settings: 20
  • Trimming Range: 1/32″ to 3/4″ (1 to 20 mm)
  • No. of Adjustable Combs: 2
Other Features:
  • 3 hour runtime on one charge
  • Waterproof
  • Trim length dial
Why We Like It:

This model has the same length range as the Vacutrim above, going all the way from 1/32″ (which is pretty close for an electric razor) up to 3/4″.

It’s also got a few handy features that make for easy cleaning and charging, including a low battery warning when you’re reaching the limit and a cleaning reminder indicating that it’s in need of service.

Why Some Might Not:

So, this one doesn’t have any Amazon reviews yet, despite a tag on its Amazon page declaring “300+ bought in past month.”

You’re telling me 300 people have bought this thing recently and not a single one of them shared a review? Hmmm… 🤔

It could just be that the manufacturer doesn’t bother soliciting customers specifically asking for reviews, which is how a lot of products get reviews nowadays, but it still seems a little suspicious to me.
