Kirstyn describes herself as a “coffee lover and cat lady,” but don’t let her humility fool you:

After more than a decade of experience in service journalism, she’s developed a sterling reputation for fair, balanced and deeply researched reporting.

Before coming to Irreverent Gent, she was the co-creator and inaugural Editor-in-Chief of Strong Fitness Magazine, and previously served as Nutrition Editor of Oxygen Magazine.

Her work has also appeared in top publications ranging from Strong and Oxygen to Clean Eating, Girls Gone Strong and more.

Kirstyn received her Bachelor of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (then called Ryerson University) in 2005, where she specialized in magazines and served as the Associate Editor of the Review of Journalism.
